Text description provided by the architects. An exhibition space for art is about space and light.
.......the space, somehow existed, an old and ragged wood warehouse, behind a three story masonry building , facing the street. The light was missing though. So, we worked the idea of bringing light through two courtyards connected by a central lantern that cuts along the nave.....
Nothing new, by the way! Passing under the unpretentious street building, we discover the first austere stone courtyard devoted for sculpture, limited by a gracious nave, built with primitive wood trusses and gently lighted by the central lantern. Further on, an off centre screen door, connects with the second courtyard, this one devoted for leisure, with exuberant vegetation. .....space, light, simplicity, sequence, mystery, surprise, sun, vegetation, flowers and butterflies.
